Will Taylor was born breech, with Aquarius rising, on the Aires-Pisces cusp on March 22, 1951 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He grew up in the woods and dairy farm country of eastern Wisconsin, where he developed a strong love for the natural world, and a sense-of-place rooted in familiarity with the native plants.

After graduating from Michigan State University with majors in biochemistry and psychology, he pursued graduate studies in marine biology at Stanford's marine biological field station in Pacific Grove California, and the University of Maine in Orono, which provided a base for biological studies in the Antarctic.

For reasons not yet fully explained, Will attended medical school at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont (1979-1983), followed by a family practice residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (1983-1986).

Along with conventional family medicine, Will practiced clinical biofeedback and mind/body medicine in Bethel and South Freeport Maine, and taught biofeedback in workshops throughout North America.

A painful case of shingles brought him to the care of a colleague who was studying homeopathy, and the resulting miraculous cure inspired him to study homeopathy, initially for the care of his own family. Homeopathy gradually took over his professional practice, as his patients implored him to "treat me like you'd treat your family."

Will completed the IFH Professional course in Boston in 1988, and cites as his principal influences ongoing careful study of the old masters of our tradition, contemplation of successes and failures in his own practice, and a synthesis of contemporary teachers.

While practicing homeopathy in Blue Hill Maine, a rural downeast community, Will started a homeopathic website and online study group, and began teaching for The School of Homeopathy, New York, a sister-school of Misha Norland's School of Homeopathy in Devon, England.

In January 2002 he closed his practice in Maine, and moved to Portland, Oregon to chair the department of homeopathy at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM), serving 11 years in that position until his resignation in January 2013.

Will is currently focusing his efforts on teaching homeopathy via seminars and online offerings, including WholeHealthNow webinars and his new online training program at http://homstudies.com.

Dr. Taylor has published articles in the American Homeopath and Simillimum, and has presented at numerous conferences, including conferences sponsored by the NCH, NASH, the Homeopathic Medical Society of the State of Pennsylvania, the Ohio State Homeopathic Medical Society, as well as conferences in Germany and Bulgaria.
