Andre Saine

(1953 -)

Dr. Saine was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on May 25, 1953.

Dr. Saine is a 1982 graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. He is board-certified in homeopathy (1988) by the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians. He has been teaching and lecturing on Homeopathy since 1985. One of the main points of his clinical work is the treatment of patients suffering from very serious chronic diseases. In addition to his private practice in Montreal, Canada, he has been the Dean and main instructor for the postgraduate program of the Canadian Academy of Homeopathy since 1986.

Dr. Saine has studied with a number of homeopathic teachers including Robin Murphy, Bill Gray, George Vithoulkas, Francisco Eizayaga and John Bastyr. However, André says that his real teachers, the ones from whom he has learned the most, were the great masters of the past. He discovered Carroll Dunham, P. P. Wells, Constantine Hering, E.B. Nash, Henry Guernsey, and especially Adolph Lippe by reading the old homeopathic journals. With further research, he also discovered that the results obtained by these pure Hahnemannians were the best results ever achieved in medicine. The study of their work inspired him to promote and teach the practice of pure homeopathy worldwide.

Dr. Saine is a much sought-after teacher, holding seminars in Canada, the United States, and European countries. He is known as a homeopathic scholar based on his in-depth studies of the work of the great masters of the past and his practice of pure Hahnemannian homeopathy.

Dr. Saine has been busy for many years editing the voluminous work of Dr. Adolph Lippe, entitled Lessons in Pure Homeopathy, from the Writings of Hahnemann's Best Student and Medicine's Most Successful Practitioner, Adolph Lippe, M.D., and The Weight of Evidence, which explores the extraordinary success of homeopathy in times of epidemic disease.

Since 2010, Dr. Saine, with colleagues in Europe and North America, began the Materia Medica Pura Project, an exhaustive effort to expand and modernize our materia medica and repertories.

Dr. Saine has also led the fight to engage skeptics of homeopathy, participating in four debates in the U.S. and Canada, videos of which can all be viewed on his website, here: www.homeopathy.ca/debates.shtml

Following the last two debates with Drs. Joe Schwarcz (McGill University) and Steven Novella (Yale University), Dr. Saine engaged in very interesting post-debate written exchanges with each, which can be read on the same website. Transcriptions of the last two debates are also available on the website.

Finally, each June, Dr. Saine teaches two courses in Montreal for the those who intend to master pure homeopathy, namely Essentials of Acute and Chronic Prescribing and Case Analysis and Case Management. More information can be found at www.homeopathy.ca
