A Simple Case of Gall Bladder Colic
With John Millar, BSc, ND, DHANP, CCH, HOM
14 May 2026, 5:00 PM-6:00 PM PST
Join us for an invaluable session with Dr. Millar. He will present a simple case of gall bladder colic, also known as biliary colic. It is one of the most common acute liver related situations you are likely to encounter in practice. Dr. Millar will also give an overview of his upcoming course!
COURSE OVERVIEW
The liver is one of the most vital organs in the human body—the largest internal gland and a cornerstone of health. It plays a central role in protein synthesis, digestion, and detoxification; regulates blood sugar; stores essential vitamins; and produces bile. Remarkably, it is also the only organ capable of true regeneration.
Join Dr. John Millar for a dynamic, clinically focused course exploring all things liver—from healthy function to complex pathology, from materia medica of key remedies to cases from his clinical practice and the historic literature
Knowledge of Disease
Gain a clear understanding of liver pathology, including the underlying processes of common and complex conditions. Dr. Millar will guide you through symptom classification and show how to use these distinctions to effectively solve cases. Key conditions include hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty degeneration and biliary colic.
Knowledge of Medicines
Explore the materia medica and key remedies and their representation in the rubrics. Differential comparisons will be grounded in real case examples, helping you recognize remedies in practice.
Knowledge of Cure
Develop practical case analysis strategies through an in-depth examination of cured cases—refining your ability to move from observation to confident prescription.

Why Focus on the Liver?
Often described as the body’s metabolic “chemical factory,” the liver is essential to nearly every physiological system. Its functions include:
- Converting protein and fat into glucose, storing and releasing it as needed
- Producing fats and cholesterol
- Metabolizing hemoglobin, enzymes, insulin, ammonia, toxins, and waste
- Storing vital vitamins and minerals
- Producing proteins such as albumin and coagulation factors
- Supporting red blood cell production during fetal development
Understanding the liver is fundamental to understanding health.

PRAISE FOR John Millar
I just want to say that Dr. Millar is a tremendous teacher in this webinar format. He brings ready access to multiple sources and approaches to homeopathy and is relaxed and helpful about people’s questions. And pleasant and lots of fun to listen to/watch. It feels immediate even though I am doing it by video from thousands of miles away.
I’m not writing this as something to go into a blurb for his courses, but to say that if he tolerates this format well enough to keep doing it, course after course, that would be tremendous news.

Learning is a lifelong journey. I have been blessed with wonderful teachers in my life.....but every now and then you encounter one who does more than teach......one who inspires you to think beyond the curriculum and draw from perhaps dusty corners of your mind. John Millar is such a teacher. In his classroom, the subject matter becomes alive, meaningful and relevant.... and fascinating! The power of Classical Homeopathy is revealed in all its healing beauty and the student is changed forever - no longer able to think in limited ways - but instead enriched with sound knowledge, wisdom, creativity and compassion.
