Invitation to Prospective Candidates for Certification -
We fervently hope that the book now in your hands is the encouragement and direction you need to assist you in successfully completing the homeopathic certification process.
Our profession is growing, and it is crucial that we define our standards of practice for homeopathy. Certification is one important step in this definition, establishing a standard for competency in homeopathic practice. It strengthens our profession through a national peer-review evaluation and credentialing process.
Health care in North America is changing. The U .S. states of Minnesota, California, Oklahoma, and Rhode Island have passed laws granting free access to non-invasive forms of health care. Other states have similar legislation planned or in progress. People want access to good healthcare, both traditional and complementary.
However, in the more open environment that comes from these new laws, consumers need to choose wisely in their selection of practitioners. In these states, the practice of homeopathy and many other unlicensed health care modalities is now legally open to anyone who refers to himself or herself as a homeopath.
Certification and demonstration of competence is an important deciding factor for the public, and a certification credential will identify you as someone with objectively evaluated skills. The organizations working cooperatively with the Council for Homeopathic Certification are dedicated to assisting homeopaths in demonstrating their skills, and to assisting the public in choosing practitioners who have demonstrated competence.
All of these organizations have contact information in the back of the book. We encourage you to contact them.
Start planning now to join our ranks! We strongly urge you to become certified.
